It is with tenderness and great emotional depth that Divya Singh has written the facets of human emotions - the love she has for herself, her partner, or her dog, her empathy for people, or even gratitude towards nature. When she writes, "Don't wish me heaven at my funeral as I am already living in one", it is her perspective towards life to see it as a gift rather than a burden that is unexpectedly thoughtful, something we rarely see.
Her sweet innocence is palpable throughout the poems. Still, there are glimpses of strength where she refuses to bow down and is proud of the darkness that nestles in every human being. The themes of relationship, intimacy and sensuality dominate the poems, and the readers are thus witness to beautiful analogies and comparisons.
